Hella-Vangsnes-Dragsvik Ferry Terminal
The next day, early in the morning, we leave Sogndal and drive along the shore of Sognefjord to the ferry crossing. The morning sun shines only on the mountain peaks of the Storahaug-fjellet massif with the highest peak at 1169 meters and Lingset-fjellet with 1002 meters.
The Hella-Vangsnes-Dragsvik ferry is located 36 kilometers west of Sogndal and lies on the National Road 13 (Rikswei 13) connecting Stavanger with Sogndal.
On the Hella-Vangsnes and Hella-Dragsvik routes, ferries run from 5:30 am to 1:30 am at half-hour intervals.
But here we are waiting not for the usual ferry, but for a small boat, on which we will make a small water trip along one of the branches of Sognefjord, which bears the name Fjorlandfjorden.
