Morning on the South Beach, Peñíscola
Constitution Square borders the Southern Beach, which is a sandy arc 60-80 meters wide and 400 meters long. The beach is protected from the sea by the pier of the Fishing Harbor, so there are no big waves here and the water warms up earlier at the beginning of the season than on the northern beach. Admission to the beach is free, but there is everything for a family holiday: rental of umbrellas and sun loungers, sports equipment, a playground and a sports field, showers, and a rescue service during the bathing season. There are several small hotels and cafes in the western part of the beach. At the end of December, of course, the beach is completely empty, only in the evening you can meet rare tourists who come here to watch the sunset.
