Museo Leonardo da Vinci

In the right wing of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Popolo there is a museum dedicated to the activities of the greatest representative of the Renaissance, Leonardo da Vinci. The circle of interests of this man was unusually wide: he is known as a brilliant inventor of many mechanisms that were significantly ahead of his era, was engaged in music and literature, and his paintings top the list of masterpieces of world painting. The halls of the museum are an exposition of more than fifty models of various mechanisms and devices for various purposes, made according to the drawings and drawings of the great Italian - from construction machines to aircraft. On the walls you will see reproductions of the scientist's works in the field of anatomy and paintings painted by him. Interactive workstations contain a huge amount of information about the life, scientific and cultural activities of Leonardo da Vinci. Visitors are offered free audio guides in seven languages. The museum is open daily from 9:00 to 19:30, visitors can enter until 18:30. The ticket price is 12 euros.
