Donostia-San Sebastian. Views from Igueldo tower

From the observation deck on the old lighthouse tower offers stunning views to La Concha bay.

Looking down, we see the lighthouse, built in 1854 at an altitude of 134 meters above sea level. The height of its tower is 13 meters.

Initially, the lighthouse used oil and paraffin as a light source. In 1916 it was replaced by kerosene-potassium lamp, and two years later the lighthouse was electrified. Now the light of the lighthouse is visible at a distance of 26 miles.
