Donostia-San Sebastian. The exposition in the tower of Igueldo
Inside the old tower there is a small exhibition consisting of old photographs and household items and folk crafts.
In the first half of the 19th century, San Sebastian was a very small settlement.

Half a century later, it was already built up with high-rise buildings.By the way, the date of the image raises a question - you can see the casino building, construction of which began in 1882.

The funicular cars to mount Igeldo still look exactly the same as they did almost a hundred years ago.

As you can see, the San Sebastian fire Department was pretty advanced. Fire trucks in the twenties of the last century were still a rarity.

Public transport.

And items related to shipbuilding - chisel and drill, sea lanterns.
