Copenhagen Cruise Port

After passing the artificial Nordhavnen peninsula under construction and the Trekroner sea fortress, our ferry enters the port of Copenhagen.

Meanwhile, until recently, completely empty decks are filled with passengers.

I have long been contemplating the expanse from the highest point of the ferry, accessible to passengers.

Ahead, you can already see the center of Copenhagen, with the spiral tower of the Church of Christ the Saviour rising in silhouette, in front of which you can see the massive Opera House building. On the horizon to the right is the perevenutaya pyramid of the ultra-modern Bella Sky Hotel.

At the Cruise Harbor, we are met by an old friend - the Costa Luminosa liner, which we have already met in Geiranger, Bergen and Oslo.

During the peak tourist season, the berths are not empty. one of them has an MSC Musica liner.

The cargo port is gradually shifting to bulk land, and the former piers are being built up with civilian buildings. At the end of one of the piers, you can see the UN headquarters in Copenhagen (FN Byen). The star-shaped building opened just a month ago, on July 7, 2013, and is still surrounded by construction huts.
