Salamanca. Bullring (Plaza de toros de La Glorieta), and the surrounding area

It took me about 20 minutes to get from the city center to the train station located on Paseo de la Estacion (on the map) - it is difficult to get lost. The entrance to the modern station building is decorated with an equestrian statue of a knight. To the right of the entrance was a supermarket, which, surprisingly, worked, despite the fact that it was Sunday - a rare phenomenon in Spain.

After buying a ticket, I walked along Alfonso IX Avenue to the old cavalry barracks on Doctor Villarroel Boulevard (Paseo del Doctor Torres Villarroel on the map).

In the center of the circular square in front of the barracks you can see the monument to the bull,

Behind the Conservatory, a tower stands on a hillock, resembling a serf, but performs the most peaceful function - it supplies the city with water. The water tower was built in the late 19th century and it is named Garrido.

Returning to the station along Alfonso IX street, we will see the modern building of the Church of our lady of Fatima (Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de fátima).

In front of the temple are two modern metal sculptures depicting birds flapping their wings.
