Winter surfing on the beach of San Sebastian (Platja de Sant Sebastià)

Passeig de Joan de Borbo brought me to the San Sebastian beach (Platja de Sant Sebastià map), stretching for 1,100 metres along the beach of Barceloneta.

Beaches of Barceloneta is a popular place for surfers.

Despite the fact that the end of December, the water is not so cold - 16 degrees.

On the beach there are surf clubs where you can rent a Board and a shop with the appropriate range.

Along the southern part of the promenade of San Sebastian there is Club Natació Barcelona , founded in 1907, the first club swimmers in Spain. Behind him you can see the tower, also bearing the name of San sebastián, cable car at Barceloneta-montjuïc.

Over the southern part of the beach stands the hotel "Barcelona W" opened in 2009. 29 storey building, shaped like a sail, built for the Olympics on an artificial Peninsula.
