Jardins de la Reina Victòria
This small park on Gran Via at the intersection with the Rambla de Catalunya, here you can see several architectural masterpieces of the Art Nouveau era, including the building of the cinema "Colosseum". In the center of the square is the fountain "Children riding fish" (Nens cavalcanti peixos) by Frederic Marès. The sculpture was made in 1928 for the decoration of the World's Fair and was installed in Plaza Catalunya. After the reconstruction of the square in the late 50s, the fountain was dismantled and reopened in 1961 at the intersection of Gran Via and Rambla de Catalunya. At the entrance to the central avenue of Rambla de Catalunya in 1972, the sculpture "Bull Thinker" (Brau Meditant), by Josep Granyer Giralt, was installed.
