On April 1, 2013, at the initiative of the Bursa Municipality, the Bursa-Gemlik-Golden Horn air service was opened. A Cessna 208 Caravan Amphibian seaplane with a capacity of 9 passengers is used for transportation. The flight duration is 18 minutes, passengers can enjoy stunning views of Istanbul and the Marmara Sea. In Istanbul, the Haliç Deniz Terminal hydroaerodrome is located in the Ayvansaray area, next to the Balat Ferry pier. Transportation is carried out by Burulaş Havacılık, known for helicopter routes from the center of Istanbul to the airport, and the company also performs pleasure and business flights.
