Casa Ángeles Grau, Valencia
Calle de La Paz, number 36, is a masterpiece by the Valencian architect Peregrín Mustieles Cano, built in 1905 by order of Ángeles Grau. Construction was supervised by master Vicent Bochons Lorente.
The facade is built according to the academic scheme of axes and symmetries. The ground floor is almost devoid of decoration, with the exception of the portal, the mezzanine is highlighted by oval windows with French balconies, three floors with balconies rise above them, each floor has an individual design of window openings.
The Art Nouveau style is represented mainly in decorative details: fancy forms of mezzanine windows, abundant stucco in the form of floral ornaments, wrought-iron balcony fences also depict vegetation.
The building is listed in the Register of architectural monuments of the Valencian Community.
