Tortosa. House Of Mateu (Casa Mateu, Casa Facundo Segarra)

Opposite the Casa Brunet is another art Nouveau house -Casa Mateu (or Casa Facundo Segarra on the map), built in 1907 by Pau Mongio i Segur. A characteristic feature is the arch crowning the facade in the shape of the letter "omega", a symbol of the art Nouveau style.

The side walls are faced with artificial stone, the front facade is decorated with plant ornaments. The volume of the facade is given by a loggia with shaped Windows and stained glass.
