Tortosa. Сasa Brunet
After walking along Cervantes street a couple of blocks to the North, we will see the most beautiful building in Tortosa - The house of Brunet (Casa Brunet on the map), the creation of the architect Josep Maria Wacker in and a wonderful example of neo-Baroque.
The house was built in 1913 for Salvador Brunet. Initially, the upper floor was residential, and the lower floor was occupied by a Bank in the 1920s. Now the building belongs to the city, it houses the chamber of Commerce.
On Saturdays, from 11 to 14 o'clock, excursions are held in the house.
The building adjacent to the Casa Brunet on the side of Teodor Gonzalez street also deserves attention. Here there is an artificial stone finish and wonderful balcony bars.
