Seville-Malaga. Cordilleras Béticas

Take the bridge of the Five Centuries (Puente del V Centenario) and cross the Canal de Alfonso XII in the area of the river port of Seville. Despite the name, this is not an artificial structure, but the most authentic channel of the river Gualdarkivir, passing through the center of the city. To avoid flooding, the river was placed in an artificial channel to the West of the city, and the old one was connected to it by sluices in the southern part of the city, and silenced in the North. These transformations were carried out in preparation for the world exhibition Expo-92.
