Caves of Nerja
The caves (Cuevas de Nerja) are located about four kilometers from the center of Nerja, if you want, you can walk or take a regular bus. You can buy a ticket at the entrance to the cave, or online on the site where You will be charged an extra two euros. But it is most convenient to take a tourist train that departs from the Plaza de España. The ticket costs 10 euros, it includes travel, a visit to the cave and the city Museum, as well as the train stops in the resort village of Maro, which is not far from the cave. The ticket office of the Nerja caves Foundation is located under the arch of the municipality building.
The schedule and route of the train. I came to the first flight and was the only passenger.
When our train arrived at the office of the natural park Caves of Nerja, the driver went with me to the ticket office, where he settled all the formalities with the visit. I was given an audio guide and told the time of my group's gathering.
There were still 15 minutes left, and I walked through a small park with a monument to speleologists. I was at the end of April, in the Spanish Mediterranean, this time is considered still cold, so there were few visitors. Although, when we came out of the cave, there were a lot more people waiting to visit.
By the appointed time our group gathered and after a short briefing we went underground.
