Sultan's pavilion in Tophane (Tophane Kasrı)

The pavilion was built near the Armoury chamber by order of Sultan Abdul Majid I in 1852.

The mansion, surrounded by Tophane Park, was used by the ruler and his officials while visiting the gun workshops and military shipyards located in the area.

The building was designed by the English architect William James Smith.
