Hippodrome South Terrace

In the southern part of the former Racetrack, the natural terrain begins to decline to the sea. This structure was built to form an artificial terrace, at the level of The racetrack field (on the map).

It was an arched structure, but after the catastrophic earthquake of 551 (when the dome of Sofia collapsed), the arches were bricked up.
