From Santa Pola to Tabarca Cruise
In summer, Tabarca Island can be reached by sea directly from Alicante, but in January I did not find any traces of ticket sales for these cruises on the waterfront. Boats with the inscription "Tabarca boat trip" on the berths showed no signs of life. The Internet also provided links to summer routes. At the tourist office, I was advised to go to the small fishing town of Santa Pola, from where the connection with Tabarca is valid all year round. Buses in Santa Pola run from the bus station every 30-40 minutes, the journey time is 30 minutes. I quickly found a ticket kiosk in the port, and although it was closed, a ladder was served on a nearby ship and the presence of the crew was noticeable on board. There were three flights a day on the schedule, but a piece of paper was pasted on it, where it was reported that in winter there was a single flight at 11:30 and a return flight at 13:40. Considering that the journey to the island takes about half an hour, the time spent on the island seemed to me catastrophically short, however, I managed to see all the sights.
