Valencia. Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer
In front of the temple of Thomas and Philip Neri is the small square of San Vincent Ferrer (Plaza de San Vicente Ferrer on the map).
In 1853, a drinking spring was opened here. For some reason, the square is popularly known as "Los patos", although the foot of the monument is decorated with sculptures of geese.
The construction of the fountain was funded by the Royal economic society of the friends of the earth of Valencia (Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País de Valencia), whose coat of arms is depicted on a Sha shield held by a woman - Valenciana.
On the square is a pyramidal building that is now occupied by the Chamber of deputies of Valencia (Diputació de Valencia).
No information about this interesting building could be found, we can only say that it belongs to the late modern era.
