Belvedere of Tormina Observation Deck

Do not be lazy to walk about eight hundred meters along the upper part of Via Luigi Pirandello, which starts at the Messina Gate and leads to the Taormini-Giardini railway station. At the bend of the street, where the dizzying serpentine leading down begins, there is a large terrace hanging over the cliff of a sheer cliff. This place is called Belvedere di Taormina, or Belvedere di Via Pirandello and it offers an amazing circular panorama covering the southeastern part of the coast of Taormina. Below you will see Cape Capo Taormina, Isola Bella Island connected to the land by a narrow bridge and the Sant'Andrea Peninsula. On the right side there is a colonnade with arches, this is all that remains of the fashionable Grand Hotel Castellammare, destroyed during the Second World War.
