Wedding in the Basilica della Collegiata, Catania
On my way to the Piazza Duomo, I stopped for a long time at the Collegiate Basilica, where a group of well-dressed people were clearly waiting for an event.
A red carpet led to the portal of the church surrounded by pillows tied with red ribbons and openwork lanterns.
A traditional Friday event, the wedding ceremony, was planned here.
I must say that from the moment when I approached the church to the wedding itself, it took quite a long time.
Hoping to see a colorful action, but not wanting to waste precious time, I made a couple of raids to nearby attractions and returned back.
The waiting list was also constantly changing - someone left, someone came.
Striking with stunning dresses.
By the beginning of the event, the crowd of guests had grown dramatically-everyone had gathered.
Well, in the meantime, the waiting people were talking cheerfully.
There were several families waiting in full force.
It is common for Italians to go to special events with young children.
Meanwhile I was quietly taking pictures of those present.
Women were good!
Stunningly good!
Yes, as far as women are concerned, everything is very good in Italy.
And in Sicily in particular. How many peoples are mixed up here-Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Normans, Spaniards!
Look, this is the real Carmen from Seville!
As the young people arrived, I still did not shoot, as the guests immediately surrounded the limousine, and the heroes of the occasion climbed the steps, accompanied by a dense crowd.
Everyone can attend the wedding most often. Although several times I saw that at the entrance to the Church stood impeccably dressed guys with stony faces, the whole appearance of which showed that outsiders are not expected here.
The action is over, the guests go outside.
And here is a new cell of society.
As they say in my Russia - "Sovet da lubov" (Advice and Love)!
