Train Coimbra - Figueira da Foz
The next morning, I went to the train station "Coimbra A", located in the center, directly opposite my hotel. This is a dead-end station where local trains leave. Inter-regional and international Express trains stop at the Coimbra B station, located almost outside the city. другой. Входные двери прямо в салоне, открываются нажатием кнопки.

Вагоны снабжены кондиционерами, табло над межвагонными дверями показывает температуру воздуха снаружи и название следующей станции. Ход вагонов плавный, звукоизоляция тоже на высоте. Стеклянные полки уменьшают риск забыть свои вещи - по себе знаю...Пару лет назад я ехал из Фару в Лагуш - там вагончики были изрядно потрепанные и без излишеств.

На одной из них я обратил внимание на тросовый привод стрелок и рычаги управления прямо на перроне.

На следующей станции я увидел жесткие тяги, причем явно новые. Видимо, на маленьких станциях использование чисто механических приводов экономически более целесообразно, чем электро- или пневмопривод стрелок.

We are approaching Figueira da Foch. A new thermal power plant (Central Electrica Figueira da Foz), built in 2009 using the latest technologies. The station operates on natural gas, the field of which is located 28 kilometers from the city. The station has two identical power units with a capacity of 431mw each. As you can see, the plant's emissions consist only of water vapor.

An hour and a quarter after leaving Coimbra, our train arrived at the Terminus of the Coimbra - Figueira da Foz railway line.
