The pavilion" Portugal " (Pavilhão Centro de Portugal on the map) represented the country at Expo 2000, held in Hanover (Germany). The project is designed by architects Souto Moura and Siza Vieira (Souto Moura, Siza Vieira), the area of the premises is 1375 square meters. After the exhibition, the pavilion was dismantled and transported to Coimbra. Now exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events are held here. It is also the "home venue" of the city's classical music orchestra.
