Fish Pass Cannel on the Pasłęka River, Braniewo

The Pasłęka River is home to the largest beaver reserve and spawning grounds for valuable fish species, which is why the river was included in the list of the Natura 2000 environmental program. Bypassing the Branevskaya hydroelectric dam, an 81-meter-long cascade fish tank was built. This is a special stepped channel through which salmon and trout can freely go upstream. At the time of construction, it was considered the longest in Poland.
