Orihuela, January 6
The New Year's holidays in Alicante ended with the Sunday Procession of the three Magician Kings, and early on Monday morning I continued my journey. Early in the morning, I left the festive Alicante to the western border of Valenciana, where lies the small but interesting town of Orihuela. The distance is short, about 50 kilometers, and the most convenient way is by regional train, which runs every two hours, with a journey time of 36 minutes. Vacationers in Alicante may well make a one-day trip to explore Orihuela.
