Donostia-San Sebastian. Surfing on the Atlantic waves

The far end of La Concha beach, where the Eduardo Chillida Pasealekua promenade begins, is a favorite spot for surfers.

This part of the Bay is closest to the open ocean, and is not closed by Santa Clara island, so it has the steepest wave in San Sebastian.

For some reason, only one Amateur can ride it.

But how much joy!

And very few people conquer the wave standing up.

And the wave is really impressive! After all, the Atlantic is not the affectionate middle-Earth, where I have visited in past trips.

As I watched, one of the gawking tourists was covered from head to toe right at the parapet.
