Church of the San Martino monastery
The monastery was built in the middle of the 14th century by Tino de Caimano (Tino di Camaino) and Francesco di Vito (Francesco di Vito). Initially, the church had a Gothic facade with an arcade, but at the end of the 15th century it was rebuilt by the architect Giovanni Antonio Dosio, as a result of which two of the five arches were converted into chapels. At the beginning of the next century (Cosimo Fanzago) added to the facade a portico (pronao) with an arched entrance framed by two openings (seleriana, or Venetian window) in the Baroque style.
