Casa Abelló and Casa Iglésies Òdena, Reus
At the intersection of Jesus and Marti Folguera streets (Raval de Martí Folguera) is locatedCasa abello (Casa Abelló on the map), built by the already famous Pere Caselles in 1904. The house is also known asCasa Munné,named after the customer and first owner.
A distinctive feature of the house is a corner glass verandah with metal frames. The cornice is decorated with an ornament in which Masonic symbols are clearly visible, as well as the corporate style of Caselles - vegetable stucco and metal elements.
On the other side of the street is another building in a classic style with modern decor.
It is worth paying attention to the original paving slabs with a vegetable pattern - the main element of the decor of the modernist city of Rheu.
Turning into the Jesus lane (Carrer de Jesús), leading to the Market square, you can see another creation by Caselles, Casa Iglesias ( on the map), built in 1908.
Not very good location of the building - a narrow street does not allow you to get a full idea of the beauty of the house, designed in Catalan art Nouveau-three - dimensional wrought-iron balcony bars and flower moldings.
