Gate of San Vicente (Puerta de San Vicente)

This arch with two side aisles is a replica of the Western gate in the city wall of Madrid, built by Francesco Sabatini in 1775. The authentic gate was dismantled in 1892.

The 1995 replica differs from the prototype in that it is turned 180 degrees - the front part of the gate is now facing towards the city center.
