Kadirga Limani Caddesi
The main street of the Kadirga quarter runs along Kadirga Park. Here, almost every house is a hotels of varying degrees of comfort and price, and in the lower floors there are many restaurants, bars and similar cozy and colorful places where you can have cheap tea or coffee, as well as a snack.
At the eastern end of the park is the Bostani Ali Cami Şerifi Mosque, which was built in 1559 by Bostancıbaşı Ali Ağa, known as the founder of Kadirga Harbor, which I described in the previous article.
At the walls of the mosque, behind a beautiful gate, there was a tiny cemetery.
The cemetery is very old and, according to historians, the builder of the harbor and mosque is buried here, but what tombstone belongs to him is unknown.
Some of the buildings on the street are in extremely poor condition, in fact, they are collapsing structures of various materials, as they say, made of shit and sticks.
After walking a block, I turned into the alley Şehit Mehmetpaşa Yokuşu (translated as "Hill of the Martyr Mehmet Pasha"). The famous Sokollu Mehmet Pasha Mosque is located here. I will tell you about it in the next article.
