Hasköy Parkı
While waiting for the ferry, I took a walk in Hasköy Park, which is adjacent to the Rahmi M. Koç Museum. The park is very well maintained, with perfectly smooth lawns, in its center there is a large Playground.
Along the park stretches the embankment, where many small vessels of various types are moored.
A little further away is a floating teahouse where you can enjoy traditional Istanbul street food: Smith bagels, fish burger (Balık ekmek) and foil-baked potatoes (Kumpir).
A campaign for the city council elections was being held in Istanbul these days, so I saw a mobile campaign center at the ferry pier.
Pre-election campaigning is also available on numerous vessels plying the Golden Horn Bay.
I must say that today the wind was driving clouds from the Sea of Marmara, which brought heavy and short rains, and while waiting for the ferry, I anxiously looked at the next approaching cloud, as there is absolutely no place to hide from the rain in the park and on the pier. My ferry arrived right on schedule, and as soon as I got on board, it started to rain.
