The Dolmabahçe Palace. Harem Garden (Harem Bahçesi)
The facades of the palace from the land side look much more modest than those facing the Bosphorus. The harem is a private and intimate territory of the Sultan, so the main entrance to it is located not from the front facade, and from the courtyard.
The Harem Bahçesi garden has a geometrically regular and symmetrical layout (regular or French park).
In the center of the courtyard is a Baroque fountain with an oval pool.
At the beginning of April, the flower beds are already covered with all sorts of flowering plants.
There is a small bamboo grove near the high wall that separates the garden from the street.
There is also a clock museum in the harem park, and the flower bed in front of it is made in the form of a dial with hands showing the current time.
