Cemetery in Sant'Angelo
Opposite the facade of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel is the village cemetery, very small, about 20 by 30 meters, and very neat.
The cemetery fence around the perimeter is a columbarium.
In some niches, one person is laid to rest.
Others have two or three.
A lot of flowers, mostly live.
The space between the graves is filled with concrete, although at first glance I thought they were buried right in the rock.
I noticed that the graves of clergymen look more modest than other graves, but they are also carefully groomed.
There is not a single similar burial, all the tombstones are made with imagination and great taste. Women's graves are often decorated with figurines of the Virgin and angels.
It is immediately clear that the person buried here was connected with the sea.
Surprisingly, quite a lot of graves are not old people at all.
A chapel-tomb was built for the burial of the founder and first pastor of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel.
I didn't see any old graves, apparently this cemetery was opened not so long ago.
