One of the symbols of Madrid is the Cibeles Square.

City hall. Originally built and used as a post office for a long time.

The fountain of Cybele, the goddess of fertility (in Spanish Cibeles), which gave the square its name.

 

On the other side of the square is the State Bank of Spain (Banco de España).
