A walk in the evening of Salamanca
Since the shutter of my DSLR fell apart from the unbearable load, and there was no hope of fixing it outside the house, I had to go to El Corte Ingless, where after a short hesitation I got a Canon IXUS 160 soap dish. Actually, there was nothing to think about - the choice, as expected, was extremely small - the budget segment was represented by a dozen cameras. The cheapest, Fujiki for 52 euros, I dismissed immediately because of their battery power, then there was again a Fujik for 92 euros, but I still decided not to change the Canon, for which I had to pay 109 euros. It should be said that in the Pyrenees with photo equipment, the pipe is full, firstly, it is expensive, secondly, the choice is limited, and thirdly, you also need to look for shops. Prices differ from our significantly, 20 percent on the budget and almost twice on professional equipment. This is not Germany, where prices are about the same as ours, but some of them are cheaper...well, this is a tax policy. It is interesting that in Europe there are absolutely no old models that you can buy from us within 3-4 days. Moreover, many of these rarities shoot no worse than new-fangled ones, I would gladly take an 8-megapixel soap dish with manual settings instead of 20MP on which it is not even possible to put the desired aperture. On the shelves of the Department store, there was no information about the capabilities of the device, except for the notorious megapixels, I was just given a box from the shelf, shown the complete set and I went to my boarding school to study the instructions. The instruction was a thick book in every conceivable language, but all the information was just a description of how to charge and where to insert the battery and a couple of words about shooting modes - "automatic" and "creative". Turning on the camera, I began to study what kind of "creative mode" it was. This depressed me, but there was nothing else to do, so I took a tripod and went to test the new product in low light and sharp contrasts.
The first image is the bell tower of the Cathedral. Automatic mode. To be honest, I expected the worst result.
