From Montjuic to Park Guell

Leaving Montjuic Mountain, we pass the Olympic Ring complex, where the 1992 Summer Olympics were held. Unfortunately, only the upper part of the telecommunications tower (Torre de Comunicacions de Montjuïc) is visible from the bus window.

Going down the mountainside, we pass the main entrance to the Architectural and Ethnographic complex " Spanish Village "(Pueblo Español), which is a replica of the medieval city gate.

At the Montjuic Fountain, we have time to appreciate the monumentality and beauty of the National Palace of Catalonia, where we have just been.

At the mirrored walls of the Palace of Congresses, we turn onto Maria Cristina Avenue.

The next building in the form of a mirrored colonnade is the Fira Barcelona exhibition center.

The western walls of the exhibition overlook Plaza de Espana, where the fountain of the Three Seas (Fuente tres mares) is reflected.

We continue on through the streets of Eixample, Barcelona's largest district.

The district emerged in the second half of the 19th century as the world's first project of modern urbanism.

On the Carrer d'Aragó, we will see the Mercat de la Concepció market, built in 1888 from steel and glass.

The next block is occupied by the Church of the Immaculate Conception (Basílica de la Purísima Concepció).

Finally, we stopped at the gates of the Park Guell, where we will continue our walk.
