Night Walk in Alicante
After the end of the march of the Three Kings, the streets of the city were not empty, a significant part of the audience continued the evening in numerous cafes and restaurants.
I also went for a bite to eat at the Calle Mayor. This loud name translates as "Main Street", but in fact it is a narrow pedestrian alley completely filled with tables. Here I ate my evening paella in the fresh air, as the evening was very warm.
On the nearby Plaza Santisima Faz, not a single table was empty, but groups of people were standing here and there with glasses.
However, after half an hour, the cafe began to empty, people went home.
The streets of the old town led me to the central market decorated with festive garlands.
Then I went to the Plaza de Luzeros, in the center of which is a monumental fountain created in 1931 by the sculptor Daniel Bañuls Martínez.
I followed the Avenue of Dr. Gadea to the Parque Canalejas, whose alleys are decorated with antique-style sculptures.
My walk ended on the famous Esplanade, famous for its unique pavement of white, red and black marble tiles laid in an undulating pattern.
